Just wanted to give a try in that contest for the 2D art and concepts theme. It's concept of my creature Xolotlan, Xol in shortcut.
That creature will appear in my personal project/story with toltec inspiration.

Honestly I've gave up with contests, but this one caught my interest because of the chance of education. I'm very hungry of art education, I want to improve, to learn, to experience but never was able to afford in USA which is a big mystery for me how people are able to go for one even just for one year.
Although, realistically I very doubt 'd win anything, but if i could any good real life education even for short time would help a lot in my life.
In USA I've heard a lot positive of art education and improvements and I'm really dreaming to attend, even just for short time course.

Creature design belongs to me.

As usually colored pencils and acrylic on concept art bristol.

Hey Exileden,

This one caught my eye! It is beautiful! I design cross stitch patterns, and want to strike out and start enlisting independent artists, creating adaptations of the original artwork.

For you, you enjoy credit, exposure, and links on my store to your profile, and 50% of profits. For me, I get wicked new artists.

If you'd be interested in this relationship, please let me know!

I love your design for this creature. The "skin" attached to the back is really cool, kinda like a harp. The colors are nicely gradated as well. I've always wondered what the rest of the world is like. I have never left North America, but I have traveled to a number of states and into Canada. Being a resident of the U.S with the art education I have learned and seen by others, the education here is def. worth it, especially colleges near cities. Of course, living near cities is very expensive, but with scholarships it's very much worth it.
