Commission for ~manojalpa

Since I don't have a scanner anymore, I took a photo of that painting. It wasn't easy task since it was done on bigger format which slightly was "crooking" on corners after full painting and originally the picture is sharper and a lot more detailed.
I got inspiration for the landscape from my travels and I designed "rock-looking-tree-alike" thingies just for fun.

Beautiful work:D

I have a very random question...... when you paint something do you pick the color scheme or do you just paint and hope for the best? cause I just get a picture of it in my head and when I sketch it out my brain overloads and I have no idea what colors to make it......Help?

I'm sorry but i just can't take it anymore. I'VE GOTTA KNOW. How do you get the animals fur to look like that? it's so....wavy and amazing. Do you use a regular brush? or another brush. i'm sorry could you please tell me. i would be very grateful.
