Xolotlan by Exileden Xolotlan by Exileden
A speeddrawing (well not really..) concept of sacred creatures- Xolotlans.
Xolotlan is an albino equine-ish creature with it's divine harp instrument.
That creature cannot function normally in biological field.
And I will not reveal for what those creatures are as well the story :P until the most things are finished.

The creature was inspired by travels to rare faraway places as it's name says.
thank you for looking!

Oh also, please do not use this my creature design anywhere else.
Xolotlan concecpts are (c) to me and to the project which I'm working which I cannot announce yet.

Some how, this reminds me of Orpheus. Some sad, and lonly variation on that ancient theme. I allways tought that Euridique could have an animal instead of a man. Animal would be more reliable as a compagnion ;)

Maybe you could make this into an adoptable species!

No, sorry. This is copyrighted design and we have no interest in making "adoptables" on the internet.

Well, that's a shame, you could probably get some cash out of it. Whatever floats your boat though!

It's okay :D There are things which aren't worth to be traded with lots of money. I see my art and creations for projects which I'm working/collaborating as very personal thing in my soul, where even lots of money cannot buy me.
There I always can come with different design customized for the internet adoptions, maybe, someday.

Then for the project, in your place, I would not show it to others yet. I work at somethng "bigger" myself and I am careful with posting everything out of that story. People love to steal, you know..that creature is neat anyways...
I respect you for you try to create new things on your paper sheets...I know its damn hard and I bet with a little more practise you will be pretty good...keep it up...

I think it's silly how the tail looks all wispy and cartoony, and everything else is bold, muscular, and realistic. I love it.

ingenious..the way you put a hollow on the upper horn (is that what you'd call it?) so that the frame of the harp won't get in the way every time the head tilts up..great illustration too!
