Since I've did major cleaning in my deviantART account which was dusted pretty badly, because I don't use this site as often as in the past anymore and I interact with artists from real life and other sites more often. But I thought to "return" to dA and be there more often a bit but however...
...in general I've noticed (well since longer time) a lot and a lot of artists has stopped activity online here.
Not only artists but a lot of very kind people also, since I noticed interacting on dA became more dull. I've noticed much less activity with comments especially- basically, in general there are much less comments received- and less... livey than in the past. I've noticed that also in many other known users on deviantART.
I remember a lot of fun with interacting with people from 2008 where I made a lot of close bonds with these people,... now devART became very dull, not counting loads of spam and scam comments. Also, fyi, it's not a rant, whining or anything just curious :]

edit: I'd like to slightly correct something: it's nothing with popularity but with interactive comments. Popularity hasn't changed imo, (what i mean is popularity= faves, pageviews, interest etc.) but the major change is with interactive comments, live-y, where you feel a part of this community, friendly, constructive and so on.

Do you feel the same? And how do you feel when an artist which you admire has left devART? What do you think is reason why the more artists leave this site?

I believe that artists think it reflects badly on them to be a part of it. they think that just because it is an uncensored art site it is somehow to be looked down upon. many of my art professors have expressed this, the one I had last semester forbade us from sourcing images from this site. I think this is the place to be though, I've gotten so much inspiration from this site.
