Animals (photogallery)Animals were always important for me- especially having physical contact with them. Not because of art. No one told me or persuaded to like them. It was even before I started drawing them and creating imaginary creatures. I'll say, I don't really remember the moment when I started liking animals- I feel like I liked them before I gained my own consciousness. Which is strange, none of my parents had special liking to them, nor we had any animals. My passionate love to animals was written in the stars that no one can erase or manipulate with my feelings toward our little brothers...
I'm waking up early at morning.
Usually I'm a longsleeper, that I have demanding need to sleep for long hours but this morning, very early a pack of kittens were jumping on me. I've realized that besides canines outside and cats inside we have another residents... flies. I hate flies. But cats love them. I don't know what's up with them but at early morning they lov

My RoadThis journal will contain some great photographs of a winter paradise.
On December, a friend of mine, musher known as a legend, the great mentor to me has passed away, I traveled up to the mountains and went on mushing alone (skijoring: cross-country skiing + sled dog, it looks like that: http://i.pinger.pl/pgr221/0fa2234e000267884b460f96/justyna_kowalczyk_10.jpg but with a dog pulling you) with my leader Arnaq. Instead spending Christmas at cozy places, I've been very hardly training cross-country skiing (skate style) alone and with my dog as well. On that month I've been doing negatively physically as well mentally, especially that feeling of emptiness after losing someone where you will never see this person again- sport was absolutely to best thing to help myself to overthink many things and make me to stand on feet properly.
But other than sport by itself I did but that trip was kind of my personal memorial for that musher who passed away. In his name I went on mushing. For
A rescue dogA few days ago, when I was at open field work in another city 200km away from Warsaw, working as off-road/trail photographer as usually- I got a call about a husky dog in desperate need that is located in MY area. Fully starved dog (just bones), having severe skin issues, bleeding and leaking mold off from skin and fur is falling off found on streets laying down- and needs immediate health attention. I'm not anymore active volunteer in my animal rescue foundation due to life changes, but my instincts of rescuing animals came back. I've responded to the animal foundation and took responsibility of picking up and transporting a husky in need.
I had to cut off from work, and ummm the issue was… I went there with my co-worker whith his car. Everything sounded perfect, that dog was in need to be transported to Warsaw by today which is good for me cause after work we are driving back to Warsaw.
Buuuut the problem was… A nice, shiny BMW car.
My co-workers beloved car, plus h
My thoughts...Firstly, as always I'd like to express my honest gratitude for all the comments I've received and as well, very important to know for me were about school/courses informations. I don't care if you read this or not but- thank you very much!
I would like to state how community flow is really important for me. No, not only for me but to many people. Just many people aren't aware of this.
I think the interactions between the artist and watchers - and whole community relationships thing - is one of the most vital parts that our creations exist. Writers have fans, travelers, artists, illustrators, companies, fashion bloggers etc. and so on. You may call it as a "fanbase", thus I prefer to not call because "fans" and "fanbase" has a lot of negative stereotypes and image about blindly screaming "minors". I'd prefer to name differently, because I do not view them as minors. Absolutely. I view them as an every worthy human on equal worth as the creator and that's a fact. They are just guests to
Tomorrow, is the first blank page.......of a 365 page book. Write a good one.
Every year is like a chapter of our lives.
The object of a new year is not a celebration of a new year, nor having a new number displaying in our callendar but it is where we should have a new soul.
To sit down and think over how to improve up our lives.
Also is not a day to cry out loudly how our past year was unsuccessful and impatiently wait when it will be over, start a new, but to learn who we are and how we can move forward.
I'm not here to wish a good New Year Eve since it's not the only day which will decide how our new year will be like… however what I truly wish you guys lots of joy for every day for this year, as well for next year- regardless what is the day or what's happening. Every day is a miracle and a proof of our existence.
Smile to yourself while looking at your image reflected by mirror and don't be shy to say "I love you" to yourself. And lots of love to all livings forms, animals and nature and less interest to mater
How's Dingo?Yeah, guess how is he doing lately?
It has been half year after his traumatic accident where he was meant to be above the Rainbow Bridge, but I saved his life... A few people asked me about him, I thought to make small update about him.
He is doing so well, like that accident has never happened! Even more- after accident he got a "horse tail", meaning his tail was paralyzed and he would never "tail wag" or hang it on back like greenland dogs do. But after some time... his tail has returned like it was before! You really can call it as miracle how he could regenerate his damaged nerves to be able move it again? Look how he's enjoying life right now:
But on the other hand, he's really old and it's still hard to think to be prepared his leaving at any time. I feel like... more sensetive on him than ever.... Oh well.
Now, gotta back on my reporter tasks that my teacher assigned me to do.... which is about the worst s
DD Suggestion GuidelinesUPDATE > I am no longer accepting DD suggestions, please send them to current CV's > :faq18:
As one of the current CV's assigned for Traditional Art Galleries, I am taking Daily Deviation suggestions - I can only feature artworks within Traditional Art categories.
How to suggest
- Send me a note with "DD suggestion" as a subject
- In the note, include a thumbnail of the work you are suggesting
- I encourage you to write a brief description of why you think this piece should be featured, but it's not obligatory
- If you wish to remain anonymous as a suggester, please let me know ahead of time
Personal process of going through my suggestions
- Before suggesting, make sure the artist hasn't already received a Daily Deviation within the past 6 months.
- You don't need to suggest more than one piece, I will always look at the entire
The right Manga Anatomy-Does this exist?People often say: "Your anatomy isn't right."
I admit, anatomy IS difficult. But there are so many styles like more chibi or more realistic and so the proportions of the body changes.
I would answer this question with a yes and a no.
Yes, because if the character you draw has 4 fingers, it's wrong. Or the figure can sprain their body unnaturally so that just looking hurts. Then it's really wrong.
You have to understand the basics of anatomy.
But isn't it a matter of the artist's style how realistic the proportions have to be?
I think CLAMP's characters in "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle" have way too long bodies and limbs or the characters in "Pokemon", they are all without muscles and without body fat.
And not to mention the female chest... From not visible to fat balls.
As you can see there is artistic freedom till a certain limit.
It's up to the artist's taste.
The difference between a mistake and style is: knowing how it actually has to look like.
What do you think about i
Small RantUhg I'm so tired of seeing artists under selling themselves cause there's cheap asses out there who seem to have no sense of value.
To artists: Don't undersell yourself. If you spend hours on a picture for someone who only paid you $5... stop. Seriously you under selling yourself just to get a commission shouldn't happen. I understand that you might think you're not popular enough to get tons of commissions so you think that if you sell them for really cheap people will buy them, but who cares! If you spend 4 hours on a picture worth $5 you've essentially paid your commissioner with your life. You might as well open up requests! Charge what your art is worth!! You not only hurt yourself but everyone else. The reason you have to sell your art for chump change is because everyone else is selling it for chump change. Also, why are you drawing primarily for money anyway? It's not exactly a good job. Heck most of us don't even make minimum wage ((myself included)), so what a rewardin

One thing to sayPeople seem to be shocked that I mainly use ink for my traditional work and several people have mentioned they could never draw in pen. They are "too afraid" of using ink because you can't erase your mistakes. But that's what I love about it. There's a raw awesomeness (that's a word) that pen brings. I won't lie I did t want to draw in pen either but then one day I was stuck on a 4 day road trip with only a ballpoint pen and some napkins.
What I have to say to you is challenge yourself. Draw loose at first, no details. And refine it. Keep your flaws, use pen, force yourself to accept that nothing is perfect at first. Personally I think ink is the most freeing medium. Many people who watch my livestreams notice I hardly ever erase and I draw really fast. This is because I practice with a cheap ballpoint pen. The cheaper the pen the better it is for art lol! Find that $0.10 pen and use it.
Wrong magicI made a mask
It called Smiling
I think it's a great mask
Everyone likes it.
I hide my face
"It's fine," I said
Is it really is?
"Try harder," they said
Those words are like magic
It cured me
Just try harder
How hard can it be after all?
They sure noticed my feelings all this time
Or do they?
A resolution, I try to get
A magic to freedom, to happiness
I try harder like they said
You can do it too
You and I
1, 2, 3
Sing a song with me
Little sturdy knot
Tiny feet, one step off
Dangle your body free
"Try harder" they said
We've got it; we did it
A resolution to happiness
