That's right.

I'm going to focus on Digital Art. "Oh noes", right?

I know, after reading these first parts of sentences your faces are unhappy. But hold on, it's not gonna be bad as you think...

Lately I've been drawing in digital medium quite often, more than traditional. Learning, practicing, creating artwork for clients and portfolio...

I have to do that.

This is something that I've realized- the reasons are mostly industry/profession related. Yes, the world wants the digital art if you want that career in direction of fantasy art, illustrations and C&A. And to make for living. Grow your career. Achieve certain goals. Digital art is becoming our civilization's medium. Yes I know, I am against revolutionary our west civilization's lifestyle of becoming computerized and on screens, pushing away more the real life, real presence and nature. That's our economy.

Yes, naturally, I am the type of person who refuses to follow the mainstream, what our civilization persuades, tells us or to follow what everybody is doing- but what I truly feel and love to do, being myself. Also that's how my way of art was.

But.

In this life, you gotta to play somehow. Surely, it's the most important to be yourself, follow what you want and deprive that damned mainstream lifestyle- but being there, in our economic, technologic and powerful civilization which is centralized on mainstreaming people, pushing onto certain pathways which they set for us, like a huge one factory. Yes, all it's about money or to be accepted... but you have to use it somehow, from time to time it's good to have a  jump on the mainstreamed system- and use the best of it. Get noticed. Then return to what you were truly doing, you'll get noticed even more and inspire more people with your own beauty.

Lately, my "unique way of making" art did not go on the right way. I felt stuck with it. Yes, I noticed a huge crisis downhill about traditional art market (but that's for another journal), lots of bullshit is happening with traditional art, discrimination that I dont wanna hear and so on. If things doesn't work, you gotta change the method.

Again, because I would like to focus more on digital art, even if that happens it will become more successful than what I used to do- it still does not make myself as digital artist and will never quit (for good) from traditional- I am traditional artist in my heart forever- and I do have a strong plan with it in the future. The only change for now, is that I'll be doing more digitals, full illustrations in that medium more often than traditional. No more traditional colored commissions. Simply. You'll still see some traditionals, definitely pencil/sketch drawing and some fully colored "starters" like that werewolf WIP- as well colored traditional massive commissions that I need to finish. Also, definitely, most of my upcoming collaborations with wonderful artists will be in traditional. But still, I would like to you guys to support me in digital art, instead of having sadfaces. If you really feel upset, I won't stop you- you have the right to share what you truly feel. I very appreciate all love for my traditional art, really. But just I'm saying that any support for my digital art will really help me and I promise to you guys, it will pay back with much stronger power once I'll return on traditional as the main focus.

Soo...  the more often I draw in digital, I enjoy it more. I like digital art. It's fun. Different. I know many people hate digital art because it's eating traditional art, yes I agree that part but that's not that media is bad but people. It's all about people decided to promote, focus and persuade everyone to move on digital art. And yup, me too, because I'm moving on it's media because I wanna follow that damned mainstream- but honestly? Another part of me- I want to do some digital art, so it's not just completely "I need to follow industries!". I really hope I'll do in healthy way, I mean, having both medium on 50/50 values. Well maybe 60 for traditional and 40 for digital would be perfect, because the real life is healthier for your mentality and body than sitting on the computer all the time ;)

What I mean is that I am experimenting. I can't be sure what I say is the right option, or the correct way of thinking, or if it will work, but something that I've experienced and I need to try to experiment a bit with my life.

A masz jakieś ciekawe tutoriale albo artykuły o digitalu?
