Hi there, just wanted to drop by and say that I have been admiring your work since I was 11, just on a couple of different accounts, and you are the most influential artist I have ever met.  I had the privilege of meeting you at the Florida devmeet, although you probably wouldn't remember me. You have so many fans!!
I don't think I would be where I am at without you, or I would have developed a different style and I really am grateful for the direction you have inspired me to work in.  Have a lovely day and please never stop creating.

Hi Mae! What an amazing message of yours has made my day better. Perhaps I am not active on DA anymore and I am living a totally different lifestyle than before, that is far away from art, creating and what I've been doing there on DA (and in the past in general) and I am leading a very important project and I am being surrounded with business and "ideas" people. My energy is really tired and I am frustrated why I don't have enough energy to drive potential in realizing big projects. And at the verge of crisis of burning out with my own ambitions and seeking for something more peaceful...
Logging in, reading your message gave me a little bit more positive energy. It is motivating.
I am happy that I could inspire you, even though I wasn't best person at that younger age.

Thank you so much for your message and I do remember you, that's why I appreciate so much

You are so welcome. :)  I am glad to have brightened your day.

Your lifestyle is very incredible though.  You are the most adventurous person I know.
I understand how you are feeling.  It is the worst.  I became completely absent from art when I joined the military at 17, four years ago.  I was an airborne Arabic linguist and it was stressful as fuck.  I then developed schizophrenia and had to be medically discharged, and was prescribed lots of very helpful medications, which has led me to having the time and energy to create art again.
I wish that for you, you can find some way to take the unnecessary pressure and obligations off so that you are clear headed enough to find your bliss.  A quieter life.

I will always wish to have the skills you have.  :)  I have long dreamed for the type of following you have, as well.  As I am sure that would be very validating..  But I feel I go unnoticed.  I need to develop an income from it to help with bills etc.  I am working very hard to be noticed but I feel it will take more exposure and the spread of my work by others to get to that point.  There is only so much I can do in the way of self promotion to get there.  It's a huge world out there and I have always felt lost in the waves of artists of social media.  :( But I digress.

You have always been your worst critic.  Me as a young teenager seeing your work has always blown me away and I could never see the flaws, even when I was terribly insecure and looking for a way to feel better about myself, haha!

And lastly... I am very touched :'D That you remember me, out of the swarm of all you have known and been loved by on dA and all social media.  Thank you.

Personally I find experience at military as very valuable training and preparation for life. I am sorry it didn't work well... Hmmm... Though I am glad that they managed to help you to find balance in your life again.

About art: after my intense experiences, I've learned a thing: you'll never make a good and comfortable living out of art. It's always very hectic and struggling lifestyle, never paid well. It's a fucking curse. Only extremely few folks make that on comfortable level - either you work as great artist for industry full time or you're making ultra audience like Sakimichan.
You need ultra, mega, hyper exposure and extremely laaaarge audience to make a reasonable money for living. Even my audience (and maaaaaany others isn't enough, even WildSpirits or Akreons (though she works for industry)) is definitely very far away, very, very, far.

Nowadays to build ultra audience like Sakimichan has is even out of my range of possibilities, knowledge and skills. Probably if I were truly passionate with art, maybe I had that chance... but I don't. I prefer real life than sitting in the desk behind the computer.

I'm sorry I may not bring any good news about art, nor motivate you... but alas, that's the harsh reality, at least based on my experience.

Have a good day
